I build software and help people responsible for software make clearer decisions. My work includes web and mobile development, leadership coaching, and consulting for teams that want a calmer, more reliable way to deliver.

I am currently accepting new development, coaching, and consulting work.

Hands-on software development

For: Individuals, small teams, and organizations that need experienced help building or improving software.

I work across web and mobile development. I can create a new product, add features to an existing codebase, resolve technical problems, or help get a project ready for release.

I can help with:

• Websites and web applications, including front-end and back-end development.
• Native Android development with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Native iOS development with Swift and SwiftUI.
• APIs, integrations, automation, deployment, and app-store delivery.
• Architecture, accessibility, privacy, performance, and maintainability.

I choose technology based on the project. Recent examples include C2K, Jargon, hackerapps.com, and this website. Source code is available for much of that work through GitHub.

New products and existing codebases are both welcome. I scope planned development as a fixed-price project when the work has clear boundaries. I bill short reviews, troubleshooting, and technical guidance hourly.

Leadership coaching and technical mentoring

For: Software engineers moving into leadership, new managers, and experienced leaders working through a specific challenge.

Coaching starts with the situation in front of you. Sessions can focus on:

• Moving from individual contributor to manager.
• Setting expectations and giving useful feedback.
• Making priorities and decisions clear.
• Supporting remote or distributed teams.
• Planning career growth for yourself or the people you lead.
• Working through a difficult technical or organizational decision.

Technical mentoring is available for engineers who want help with architecture, software design, delivery practices, or career direction. The work stays connected to a real decision or project so you can apply the advice immediately.

Team and organizational consulting

For: Engineering teams and organizations that need help with delivery, team structure, or technical direction.

I can assess how work moves through a team, identify the constraints causing delays, and help put changes into practice. Engagements may include:

• Reviewing planning, delivery, and communication practices.
• Moving from Scrum to Kanban or adapting an existing process.
• Clarifying roles, priorities, ownership, and decision-making.
• Improving CI/CD, release automation, and developer workflows.
• Planning team structure, hiring, or a technical roadmap.
• Providing short-term technical leadership during a transition.

Recommendations come with concrete next steps, owners, and a way to tell whether the change helped.

Engagements and pricing

Every engagement begins with a free 30-minute discovery call. We will discuss the work, the desired outcome, timing, and whether my experience fits the need.

• Leadership coaching starts at $200 per session.
• Team consulting starts at $2,500 per month for a defined engagement.
• I use fixed-scope pricing for software development with clear requirements.
• I price reviews, troubleshooting, and advisory work hourly.
• Larger organizational engagements receive a custom proposal.

Reduced rates are available for nonprofits and social-impact organizations.

Before work begins, I will provide a written scope covering deliverables, cost, timing, and the process for changes. Confidential information stays confidential, and I will say so when another person is a better fit.

Availability

I live in Colorado and work remotely. Ongoing coaching, fixed-scope development, and consulting engagements are currently available.
